God’s Work Our Hands

In 2009 the ELCA invited congregations and ministries to submit videos for the Churchwide Assembly demonstrating how God’s calls to action and justice is being made known in our communities. Calvary Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, in conjunction with PCTV, submitted two videos demonstrating both a congregational ministry (Calvary’s Emergency Food Shelf) and an outreach partnership (the Urban Arts Academy).  These are two very real ways that God’s work is being made known at 39th and Chicago through the lives and hands of people at Calvary Lutheran Church.

What's New at Calvary

In December of 2016 Calvary Lutheran hosted an exhibition of local artists' work. Follow this link to the photo gallery section to view thumbnails of the art featured in the show.

As the Church Council looks at the congregation's call and commitment to be a vibrant, nurturing, and faithful community, they are asking church members to pledge their financial support for the Fiscal Year January 1, 2017-December 31, 2017 General Operating Fund.
