North Window

Christmas Window

The Christmas window in the north transept has three panels: Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child in the center ... shepherds on the left ... and the three Magi bearing gifts to the right. If you look closely, you can see cattle observing baby Jesus. There are two shepherds in the foreground, and a third shepherd holding a lamb in the distance.

The upper part of the window has two angelic cherubs looking down and a star at the peak representing the star that led the Magi to the manger.

The bottom of the window bears the inscription, "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have eternal life."
